Garden Clearings

We have several distinct garden clearings, each offering a unique setting for different types of events:

  • Willow Garden: Our most secluded space, nestled by the river that forms the southern edge of our site. This tranquil area features two small fire pits, making it ideal for intimate gatherings and quiet moments by the water. This garden is home to our young willow circle orientated with the four cardinal directions and perfect for reflecting upon the turn of the seasonal wheel in Britain.
  • Our larger Redwood garden offers plenty of open space for large group games, outdoor activities, or camps. It’s ideal for gatherings that require room to spread out and enjoy nature. This garden also borders the river and the space is perfect for fire lighting and cooking activities. It features a large fire circle, making it an excellent choice for group sessions, especially for evening activities with students or teams.
  • Sycamore Garden/Clearing: This medium-sized clearing is reputed to be the site of a World War II-era bomb explosion. It is currently where our home-schooling community and facilitators work from. If you are interested in the creation of this learning ‘village’ get in touch. This garden comfortably accommodates medium-sized groups and is close to a potentially parachute-covered fire circle, perfect for storytelling, discussions, or cozy gatherings around the fire.

Each of our spaces is designed to enhance your experience of the natural surroundings while providing the comfort and functionality you need for a successful event.
